I initially called Stephanie because I needed someone professional to help me organize my closet. I really love a visually clean space and I knew I had too many articles of clothing. I had long done the ‘bottle of wine with girlfriends’ thing where we would try pieces on, swap, and organize what we each had, but my busy friends and I simply don’t have time for that these days. What Stephanie does is EXACTLY what I was looking for.
To be honest, it felt ‘over the top’ and luxurious to engage a professional organizer; I am a mom of young kids, but I soon realized is that her work is about more than just organizing. I knew I had too much but didn’t know what I was missing in order to fill in gaps in the selection of clothes I already own. By being an organizer AND personal stylist, she added a lot of value to the process. Her work in my closet and environs was so helpful and reasonably priced, and I still think of her advice when I get dressed.
I have a true minimalist for a husband, and perhaps because he is French, he also has a real interest in how I dress. He wasn’t sure about the process at first, but the idea that I could use so much of what I had in multiple ways appealed to him, plus the fact that I no longer dress down daily in activewear (because I am always on the go with the aforementioned kids!) is really appreciated all around.
I have made a pledge to myself to be thoughtful about my dressing and shopping choices, and Stephanie really opened my mind. The bonus for this lover of organized spaces is an awesome, streamlined space where it’s all held.
When I became pregnant for the third time, Stephanie helped me during my pregnancy and again postpartum to organize my maternity and breastfeeding clothes in and out. We are moving soon, and I’ll have her help us move into our new space; I don’t want to do my closets without Stephanie ever again!
